Bennett Boatyard

You can hire motor & sailing boats or kayaks from Bennett Boatyard and explore the tranquil waters between Bryher, Tresco, Samson and St Martin’s at your own pace. Hire wetsuits and fishing gear to increase the enjoyment! Bennett Boatyard, based at Green Bay, also offers chandlery services and storage facilities for boats, camping gear and bikes. We’ve got showers, washing facilities and waste disposal for visiting yachtsmen.

Bryher Marine Engineering specialises in the winter storage and maintenance of all leading makes of outboards engines, offering a “Sales - Services - Spares - and Repairs” service. We offer a 7 days a week breakdown service, during the main summer season. We are the local agent for Mercury Outboards, and carry out all warranty work here on Bryher. We have built up a wide range of spare parts and engine related chandlery as stock, and have a full and comprehensive spares catalogue on the computer. We have the computer diagnostics equipment for the Mercury/Mariner range.

Bryher Boatyard

Bryher Boatyard offers boatshare and sells nautical gifts, chandlery items and fishing supplies (to buy or to hire). Visit their 8,200 sea water aquarium where you can see a variety of locally caught sea creatures which are all released at the end of each season.

Tresco Boats

Tresco Boats offers an excellent service which we hope will add to the enjoyment of your holiday on Bryher. We operate all year round running a daily scheduled service from mid- February to the end of October. The Firethorn is licensed for 100 passengers and provides the service for scheduled trips. The Cyclone and Hurricane are two jet boats that are licensed for 12 passengers each and operate the private hire services, equivalent of a taxi on the mainland. We visit Tresco – Everyday, St Mary’s – Monday to Saturday, St Agnes – Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday, St Martin’s – Monday Wednesday and Friday. Circular trips for Birds and seals Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. We try and visit Samson once a week. We follow the men’s gig race on Friday evening. Most days we offer a CYCLONE TRIP - an hour trip to see seals and birds with commentary on the history of the islands. There is a fishing trip at least once a week. From April to mid-September we go to St Martin’s one evening week, and offer occasional evening trips to Tresco. The Cyclone and Hurricane are available for hire if you want to do your own thing.
